A Walk-In Shower is a Beautiful Thing

I love to get up in the morning, go into the kitchen, put on a pot of coffee, then straight away jump into the shower. I love to stand with the hot water running down my body as I slowly make my way back from sleep. There is no better way to wake yourself up in the morning.
With the improved shower technology, you can build a large shower with multiple shower heads so that every inch of the enter space in the shower is covered with the pounding water coming at different rates from the different heads. So if you wish, you can set the water to feel like a soft Spring shower with varying pressures in each wave of the water.
Outside Window is a nice touch!
Having natural light in your shower is an incredible feeling. It gives you a feeling of wonder and control over your environment.
If you really want to be decadent, you can have music piped into the shower for your enjoyment. For me, that would be Beethoven, but everyone is entitled to what they like.

Some of these showers have additional features built in, like steam jets or built-in closures that give you the feeling of being in a cocoon. I like the open feeling of glass walls in my shower with that outside window. And if I cannot have that, I close my eyes, lather up my hair and pretend!

I, too, am a morning shower person. I go there first even before starting the coffee. The shower with the glass blocks is beautiful - I love it! Think I'll redo my shower this summer so when I tear out the wall, we won't freeze!
My elderly mother was frail and fragile, so when we built her a new home, her shower was a walk-in. She absolutely loved it.
We have a bathroom that will someday become a walk-in.
