I know that I am a shower person - nothing better than a hot shower to start the day, but there are times when nothing but a long, hot, soaking bath will do.

These pictures show some of the beautiful spaces created by a corner bathtub. Can't you just see the tubs filled with bubbles and a little girl peeking through them? Honestly, my daughters loved to take a bubble bath, long ones and these tubs were just made for that!

Well Thought Out Floor Plans

These pictures show what you can create with some space and preplanned layout as to how and what you want to do with the bathroom.

Bathrooms need not be boring or dull. They can be a joy to walk in and take care of the normal routine of cleaning. We know that bathing has been with mankind for centuries and in some societies there are many rules to follow. But that does not mean you have to bath in darkness.

Well placed windows allow daylight to fill the area so that you can fill the sun's warmth coming direct on you if you wish.If there is no way to place windows around the tub, the lighting fixtures can give the appearance of warm sunlight.

Privacy should always uppermost in design, but there are many ways to open up a bathroom. The materials used to enclose and raise a corner bath will need to be sturdy, solid and beautiful in color and texture.

My husband being a contractor remodels homes all the time. I just told him of your hub. You should see some of the bathrooms he has done. Amazing!

What a fabulous hub. I love taking baths after a stressful day. They seem to absorb all your frustrations. You did a good job on this hub. I wonder how many people took baths tonight!

LOL - I hope a lot! Otherwise tomorrow might be a little smelly!

I'll stick with the shower for the most part, but my girls were the mermaids in the tubs!

Thanks for your comments!

I have been noticing a trend for "wet" rooms. The tub and shower separate from the rest of the bathroom. I saw one design where they put a wet room between 2 half baths connected to bedrooms. This gave private places for the commode and private sink (which are used more often) and a place for bathing (which is used 1-2 times a day) for 2 bedrooms.

We had a house where two of the bedrooms were connected that way. Also one of the college dorms I lived in 50+ years ago was built like that. I'm not sure if it is a trend or a way of cutting costs of two full bathrooms.

In any case it should work well with some floor plans.

Thanks for the comment

A comment was left from someone who stated they had designed the bath with the Christmas tree in it, but with a new research there are over a thousand sites with the picture in it; so if you designed this bath, congratulations, but I did not find the picture on your web site - not the first time or this last sweep of the net looking for the designer.

However, whoever did design the bathroom - you did a great job! I just do not know who you are.
