Finding the Best Keywords for Your New Site
By quester.ltd
Keywords - why Do You Need Them?
So you have decided to start your own business and have decided on internet marketing. Why not? It does not cost anything and you can work at home after work or on the weekends. You have heard stories of people making millions of dollars just writing a few short articles, publishing them and sitting back racking in the cash. If a twenty year old can do it, you can too, right? Maybe, it does take work, dedication and knowledge of internet marketing and one of those things is keyword research.
It is probably best to start with a subject that you know something about. You do not need to be an expert but you do need some basic knowledge. Research is an important part of what you will be doing, but first, does anyone else in the world want to know anything about which you have decided to write?
Well, that is where traffic analysis and keywords come in to play. Keywords are the phrases that people type in to Google, Yahoo, Bing or other search engines, trying to find information on a subject. The more a particular phase is used, the higher the ranking in the list of keywords is on the given subject.
Sounds like a mouth full of goo, doesn't it? Well, in simple terms, the more a term is used for searching, the higher the value of the term, therefore the higher the chance of making money. Let me give you an example: rabbit hutch has 20 thousand searches a month, rabbit hutches has 38 thousands. See what I mean, just by adding two letters,(es), you have nearly doubled the number of searches that might bring traffic to your site.
So how do you find the right keywords and the relative traffic that is associated with them. The very best tool that I have found is Market Samurai.
Knowing how and for what the public searches , knowing how the competition stacks up on the things that Google looks at, can give you an unfair advantage. One that you can take to the bank on a monthly basis.
In my opinion, I am using the best tool you can use help build the articles for your website that are filled with content-rich information. Since you know what keywords to use to trigger traffic coming to your website, you can design the pages so to give the reader the best information and that will help your ranking with Google. The higher the ranking, the more traffic, and in theory, more money generated from your site. But, remember, the true key is content!

Yes, I completely agree. Unless what you have to say is interesting and unless you have a way of presenting what you have to say in an appealing way why would anyone want to read it? Well said and your hubs are proof of your own conviction.Voted up.
Wow. Spirit, somehow your comment slipped by me - sorry and thank you for your kind words.

For some reason I cannot state on the Hub what the link is to this great tool - if anyone would like to know, please email me and I will send it to you.
Thank you,

Hi quester, this is a really informative hub though I admit to not knowing much about the subject. I tend to just write about the things I am interested in and they are mainly related to my work. I do however, usually use Google Adwords when I am deciding about the title of my hub. I am Spirit Whisperer's wife and I always check out the writers he recommends and his judgement has never failed. I will definitely be reading more from you. I do have one question though, and that is what exactly is the difference between the free google keyword generator and Market Samurai?
Thank you Sister Mary for your kind words.
The difference is more than I can say in a few words but basically, Market Samurai (and yes, I am an affiliate which means if you go through my link and end up buying it, I would get paid a commission) is that Market Samurai gives you not only search information with keywords but also competition information, ranking for all of your keywords and pages. They also have a tool to help you do research on any keyword you want. And much, much more. Needless to say, I have been very happy using this tool.
Thank you for the question.
