Weak Cell Phone Signals No Longer Holds Me Back

All too often we allow the little stuff to distract us from what is important in our lives. The picture above is extreme, I know, but we do need to pay attention to the things that are central to our lives and well being. Being distracted by a weak or non-existing cell signal is not one of those things.

One cell company has made a fortune using that line and while we laugh and use it as a joke, the point is well made. How many times have you walked from one end of the house to the other and even outside to find that one place where the cell phone reception was clear enough to finish a very important call? If you are like me, more than once.

But not any more! I am done with searching for that sweet spot so that I can hear the person on the other end of the conversation. (Can't say line any more. can I?)

We are not talking about a Sat-Phone (different animal all together). We are talking about small devices that a grade school child could set up in the matter of minutes, not rocket science. With so many of us giving up land lines for VoIP and Cell Phones, we must have reliable signal strength at all times.

Driving in a car is a different matter. Many places have made it illegal to drive and talk on a hand-held phone, so we go to the speaker phone system or a Blue Ray system. These systems are even more dependent on a strong signal for the conversation to be able to take place. You need help help, more than ever.

Unfortunately, the US cell service, although is improving, is less than stellar in many places.This in not the 1980's when cell phones were the rarity; this is the 21st century where you can be in an express elevator in Hong Kong with 5 bars on your phone and talking on an international call without a problem. In the States, too often the signal strength is lacking in being robust - so we need and deserve an amplifier or booster for our weak phone signals.

Once you start making use of an amplifier or booster, make sure that you remain in control. There is no law that says you have to have your phone on all the time. Use it when you want and if you want some peace and quiet, turn it off!
